📂 Landmark Cases

Haris Veramon has played a pivotal role in the reinvestigation and resolution of unsolved crimes and disappearance cases, bringing to light critical evidence that had remained in the dark for years. His methodical work, keen insight, and attention to detail have provided essential answers to cases that shocked the public. Representative Cases:

  • Faye Bakoyiorgou Case (Athens, 2021)
The brutal murder of the young pregnant woman was revisited due to Haris Veramon’s intervention. His investigation and evidence collection led to the arrest of three individuals and the resolution of the case. The Mixed Jury Court imposed a life sentence and an additional 22 years of imprisonment on the landlady for premeditated murder, human trafficking, dangerous bodily harm, and attempted harm against minors, along with a €7,000 fine. Faye's mother was sentenced to 15 years in prison for complicity in the murder and trafficking, and Faye's sister received an 11-year sentence, with a 5-2 majority acknowledging her adolescent age as a mitigating factor.

  • Stavroula Gougoulia Case (Kypseli, 2023)
One of the most mysterious disappearances in Greece, which drew public attention for a long time. Haris Veramon brought the case to public awareness even before it was reported to the police, prompting the authorities' mobilization and ultimately solving the mystery of her disappearance.

  • Jean Hanlon Case (Crete, 2009)
After 15 years of stagnation, Haris Veramon's thorough investigation led to the resolution of the case regarding the death of British citizen Jean Hanlon. His findings resulted in the prosecution of the person responsible for her murder. His comprehensive report prompted the reopening of the case and the pressing of charges.

  • Dimitra Zirda Case (Drama, 2015)
Haris Veramon’s work brought the case out of archival status, proving it was a criminal act, not the suicide it had initially been classified as.

  • Joyce – Timothy Radocic Case (France – Greece, 2021)
Using innovative analytical techniques such as decoding engravings on the scene's surfaces, Haris Veramon demonstrated how Joyce ended up in a cistern in Kastella, Piraeus.

  • Efi Tsichlaki Case (Rethymno, 2016)
Through the documentary created on the case, Haris Veramon helped highlight the tragic story of Efi Tsichlaki. The following testimonial was given by Manos Athanasiou, cousin of the victim:
  1. "To express my warm, sincere thanks to Haris and Alexis for their valuable help, for the fight they fought with me, for their courage and the incredible, hard work they put into promoting the case and honoring our Efi, to show the enormous injustice and shame we were experiencing.
  2. To highlight the collectivity of this struggle and the titanic effort to vindicate the memory of our Efi and the fight against femicides. It wasn't just the "cousin" or the "activist" on his own. He couldn't have done it alone! With him were friends, acquaintances, collaborators, people who hardly even knew him, and yet each in their own way helped ensure the Greek public was informed and reacted to this mockery of a trial in Rethymno and demanded justice."
